Peter H. Reynolds has been happily dreaming about his visit on Saturday, Aug. 19, to the Mississippi Book Festival's annual “literary lawn party” on the grounds of the historic Mississippi State Capitol Building in downtown Jackson.

At 10:45am, Peter will be speaking on a panel called The Power of the Picture Book with another literary luminaries, including Margery Cuyler, (Bonaparte Falls Apart), Gilbert Ford, (Soldier Song: A True Story of the Civil War), and Matthew Clark Smith, (Lighter than Air: Sophie Blanchard, the First Woman Pilot.) The panel, hosted by Ellen Ruffin, curator of the de Grummond Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi, will be held at the Galloway Fellowship Center.

At 12:15, Peter will be nestled under the Book Signing Tent greeting fans and signing copies of his new picture book Happy Dreamer (Scholastic), which Publishers Weekly calls "a liberating validation of dreaming as restorative, comforting and powerful while giving kids full license to be themselves.”
