Animation-ish web version was launched in November 2019, replacing the legacy desktop version.

I get an error when trying to log in.
Please ensure you are using www.fablevisiongames.com.

My students are receiving an error message when trying to save student work.

Please have your IT department whitelist https://animationish.com/. Your district may also need to adjust the firewall rule for the application because it makes an IP call to a “non-standard” SSL port (port 7000).

What is the url to access the program?
Animation-ish can be accessed online through www.fablevisiongames.com.

How long is a license?

The license is priced as an annual license which will give you access to any updates within the year.
Multi-year pricing is available on request.

Where did the Animation-ish Lesson Vault Go?
Find the lessons button on the homepage of Animation-ish.

What Browsers can be used?
We recommend Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.

How can my students share projects on Animation-ish.com?

Files created on Animation-ish.com can be downloaded and shared between users. From the Share menu click Export and download the .ish file. That file can be shared between students/users and uploaded from the Import feature. For details on how to do this, watch this video.

How can I export a GIF?

Users can create a GIF from their Animation-ish project. From the Share menu click GIF and download the GIF file. For details on how to do this, watch this video.

Can I load .ish files created in the legacy Animation-ish for the desktop?
Unfortunately, the .ish files are not compatible with the web-based version.

Where are my animations saved?
Animations are saved to the Project Vault. The Project Vault has two areas - starter projects and My Projects. Toggle between the two menus by selecting the button in the lower left. These projects are stored on an AWS cloud server. You cannot export animations in progress to the desktop.

Can my completed animations be exported?
Yes, final Animation-ish projects can be exported by selecting the SHARE button.

What are the file types available for exporting?
Final animations can be exported as an .mp4, .mov, .mpg, .gif, and as an image sequence (.png).

Can I add sound to my animations?
To add sound or music to your Animation-ish project, export your animation and then add your audio in a third party program. We recommend iMovie for Mac and Windows Movie Maker for PC (both programs are free) or Adobe Spark (free for educators). Many of our customers have created wonderful finished films with audio and titles by using third party programs. Garage Band is another tool that can be used to create a soundtrack.

Can I import images into the program?
Yes. Very large imports may slow the program down, so be mindful of the file size!

What size is the stage and film output?
The stage and film output dimensions are 494 x 327 pixels.

Can I open a project in Flipbook-ish if it was made in Wiggledoodle-ish?
You can only open a project in the level in which it was made. Wiggledoodle-ish can't be opened in Flipbook-ish, or vice versa. Once opened, you may click “Next Level” to take your animation to a more advanced level. Once it is moved, it will remain in the new level.

How can I watch my animation on loop?

Click the "Share" button within Animation-ish to export the animation as a .gif. These play in a loop in emails, presentations, or on social media.

Do I need a drawing tablet in order to use the program?

While a drawing tablet is not required and you can have plenty of fun using a mouse or trackpad with Animation-ish, you may enjoy a drawing tablet. Drawing tablets have become very affordable recently so feel free to research which you feel will be the best fit with your device. Wacom makes very good entry level drawing tablets.
